About the centre and its assignments

The Information and Documentation Centre for Foreign Language Pedagogics (INFODOK) at AU Library, Campus Emdrup (DPB). has been established on the basis of a document from Nov. 1979. It has three assignments:

The library assignment: Literature is purchased on language learning and acquisition, didactics, teaching methods, assessment and testing, bilingualism and multilingualism, second language teaching, sociolinguistics, language policy and language planning in the major languages. Journals and periodicals plus a number of relevant non-language journals and periodicals are continuously monitored for book selection, information and updating.

Communication assignments: The Centre has published the journal Sprogforum (from 1994 to 2005) and still contributes to the journal Sprogforum 2006 - Articles from 1994 to 2005 can be accessed at the homepage, where they appear in full text.

The international assignment: The language centre is a satellite centre for EURYDICE, the EU's network of information offices on educational conditions. Queries to the centre and replies are not placed in a database to which there is public access.
